I am still recuperating from my quick trip to High Point Market.  It is a whirlwind of sights and sounds,  new introductions, up coming trends, parties, reconnecting with friends and colleagues.  It is a blur of the fabulous and inspiring.  I kept thinking, "Why has it taken me so long to attend?"
While the color of the year, radiant orchid is still a story, I saw an awful lot of blue continuing to be introduced in everything:  accessories, furnishings, beautiful lacquers on case goods.  These were mainly in inky or indigo blues, but there were some peacock and turquoise thrown in for good measure.

While I did see much blue, don't count out the power of purple.  It is still a popular choice, especially going into Spring 2014.  Both happen to be versatile colors, mixing easily with other bold warm or cool colors.
