I had heard that Alber Elbaz was doing a Lanvin line for H & M.  What I did not know was how cute it was.  I have a feeling lines will begin to form well before the November 20th debut.

There are 48 items in the collection.  Prices range from $9.95 for a lipstick to $349.00 for a coat.   If you see me in line~ get out of my way because these pieces are calling my name.

Porcelain, with a twist

Wandering through the 7th floor of Bergdorf's recently, I was enchanted by the Jean Boggio for Franz collection. Boggio, a well known French designer who designed for the likes of Haviland and  Baccarat collaborated with The Franz Collection in 2008. Integrating textiles, jewelry and porcelain, he has woven Chinese high art and French influences into beautiful, unusual furniture made with porcelain tiles. The brand sings a song of poetry and elegance in eye popping colors .

There's an app for that

Paint like Pollack with the iphone app.  Miltos Manetas, the man behind the design of the application which won a webby for one of the coolest apps, is staging a contest. If you create a great 'Pollack" you can download it for a chance to be included in an upcoming book.

What price art? How do you define it?  David Hockney has been making his own iart.  He uses a combination of apps to create original works on his iphone that he downloads and sends to friends.  Priceless.

Designers are jumping on the bandwagon too. While there is a growing number of drafting and designing apps, Kelly Hoppen is the first (to my knowledge) Interior Designer to create  a namesake app.

Kelly shares some of her inspirations, tips, step by step instructions for creating the home of your dreams.
All available on itunes. David Hockney not included.
